basically music is math. elementary, algebra, trigonometry, calculus. if you study calculus it is difficult to really get into basic elementary. it's like i already figured out all those formulas and they're way too boring to spend any time on. not that there aren't eternally useful formulas on the basic levels, but in general, it's much more engaging to be challenged by complex equations. some people just aren't math people....... that's why what is sufficient for a lot of people just doesn't do anything for me. listeningwize..... i'm not writing this from an artist's perspective about my own produxions, rather just appreciation of others' creations. |

i'm taking a calculus course right now... well, second. i need a third by next year. i keep thinking about how i should have done this back in highschool, when i was still totally enraptured by the worldlanguage of mathematics, and completely conscious of every step.
